Wrightsville Fire & Rescue Company 41, August 09

AJ McCarty on his recent certification as both National and PA State Emergency Medical Technician.

Lt. McCarty completed over 220 hrs of classroom instruction as well as clinical shifts. Once the classroom portion was completed, he had to successfully pass the state level practical and written exam as well as a set of national level exams.

No Caption During the overnight hours, The Engine Company was alerted to a dwelling fire in Columbia Borough

Wrightsville Fire & Rescue Company 41, July 23

The Engine responded at dispatch with 5 volunteers. Engine 80 arrived to find a 2.5 story end of the group with fire showing throughout. The Engine Company arrived shortly after and stretched a line to side Charlie and handled fire attack and searches. Crews also found fire in the D1 exposure. Everyone enjoyed wings and pizza then later gathered on the front ramp for some down time.

Saturday the squad was requested to assist on a high angle rescue in Co. 39s area. Units from 39,44, and 41 worked to package and extricate a victim that had fallen on a steep rocky terrain.
