I am pleased to announce that earlier this week the Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine and Hose Co #1 received official word from the FEMA, Department of Homeland Security.

They advised the Officers and Members of the department our 2018 (AFG) Assistance to Firefighters Grant application for equipment was approved!

Rescue 1 Returns

Captain JP Poole, September 17

Rescue 41-1, our 1996 Seagrave Rescue-Engine, is back to serving residents in Wrightsville Borough, Hellam Township, and surrounding communities. Rescue 41-1 was out of service since March of this year for mechanical work and body work that needed to be fixed. **Working Fire**

The Engine and Rescue-Engine are currently assisting Yorkana Fire department with a working barn fire.

The Rescue-Engine was second arriving and supplied Engine 38. The Engine is acting as a relay pumper.
