For our followers that are not aware, the York County ATR is designed to provide York County and surrounding areas with personnel that are trained and experienced in advanced technical rescue techniques and specialized technical rescue equipment in the following rescue disciplines: confined space, swift water, ice, high angle rope, trench, and structural collapse.
For a vast majority of 2023, our Officers & Members alike have been meeting, planning and training with the Steering Committee & Member Agencies involved with the York County ATR to better prepare us for our transition onto the Team. We are looking forward to assisting and working with everyone in the Team’s future endeavors.
Last evening over 30 Volunteers from WFD, along with the Officers from the ATR gathered at the firehouse for a “Wrightsville Wing Night”. After dinner members were presented an ATR overview hosted by the Team and reviewed policies and response plans to tie up any loose ends on our part.
Attached are several photos taken from various Team and certification trainings held this year, as well as a few incidents we’ve been involved with.
