The class was made up of 6 Wrightsville Volunteers, 3 members from @the9house, and 1 member of Harrisburg Bureau of Fire.
This course is designed to certify rescuers at the highest level in order to rescue a victim that is unable to self extricate out of a confined space. Students covered many skills including writing permits, atmospheric monitoring, use of tri-pods, use of the Arizona Vortex, high point anchor points, rope systems, patient packaging, and a multitude of other skills. Members were put through 10+ scenarios, allowing the students to perform confined space entries.
This weekend, the students will go through testing to become certified to the Pro Board NFPA 1006 Confined Space Rescue Technician Level 1 and 2.
