The Engine Company with 5 and Captain 41-2 responded at the dispatch. While units were responding, Lancaster County Wide Communications advised that they were receiving rapid calls all reporting a house on fire. Assistant Fire Chief 79-2 (Maytown-East Donegal Township Fire Department) arrived to find a single family split level with fire showing throughout. The Engine arrived as the second due engine, picking up Engine 79’s line, and setting up for nurse tanker operations. The Engine crew pulled a second line and assisted with fire attack, searches, and opening up. Crews from 41 operated for around 2.5 hours before being placed available by command.
