While returning from a vehicle accident, the company was alerted for a reported house fire with occupants trapped on the roof in the borough. The rescue was a few blocks away and arrived quickly to find a 2.5 story home with smoke showing, confirming the report of occupants on the porch roof. Crews worked simultaneously removing an adult and child from the roof and stretching hose lines to the seat of the fire. Crews found a working basement fire with extension into the floors above. The fire was under control within an hour, crews remained on scene for just over 4 hours for mop up. Thank you to all mutual aid partners and standby companies. #WrightsvilleFire #Company41
Smoke detectors saved the lives of the two occupants. If your home is in need of working smoke detectors, please call the firehouse at 717-252-4770 to arrange the installation.
