This press release is to inform the public and media that The Wrightsville Steam Fire Engine & Hose Co. # 1 has not received official notification from the Wrightsville Borough council regarding the town's emergency siren. We understand the concern regarding the town siren and the disturbance it may cause. However, our primary goal is to protect the citizens of Wrightsville. The towns siren ensures that our volunteer firefighters are notified of emergencies promptly, resulting in a quicker response to the emergency. It is our position, that any disruption caused by the siren, is negated by the benefits that it provides to our citizens.
As always, the Wrightsville Fire Department's primary goal is to protect and serve the citizens of Wrightsville. We look forward to working with the Borough council and citizens to determine how we can better serve our community.
